Ethical Policy

Nirah has established an ethics committee under the chairmanship of Peter Scott to ensure adherence to our overall ethical objectives and guidelines on animal welfare..

Nirah will never try to house a species whose living conditions, territorial needs, or feeding requirements preclude Nirah from providing the same, or better conditions than it would have in the wild. Our prime aim is species conservation, and all that we do is dedicated to that goal.

Nirah does not sanction, condone, or conduct any vivisection or testing on live animals in its work. No research will be conducted by Nirah that is any way invasive, damaging, or fatal to the species being studied.
